About Helen:

Helen L. Davis is the Stateside Volunteer Coordinator for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of New Jersey.  CASA of NJ provides a voice for abused and neglected children by empowering a statewide network of county-based CASA programs.  Working through community volunteers, these programs advocate on behalf of children in foster care and other out-of-home placements to ensure their well-being and ultimate placement in safe and nurturing permanent homes.  During 2018, CASA affiliates throughout the State provided trained community advocates to over 3500 children in foster care.

This past August, Investors Bank and the New York Giants announced a joint corporate social responsibility program that will benefit CASA of NJ.  Each time the NY Giants score a touchdown, field goal, or safety during this season, the Investors Bank Foundation will donate $250 to CASA of NJ.  Investors Bank CEO Kevin Cummings stated, “We are proud to be able to support all of the good work that CASA does throughout New Jersey.  Commitment to the community is one of our core principles at Investors Bank.”

CASA of NJ is grateful and proud to have been chosen by Investors Bank and the New York Giants.  “Our hope is that this partnership will raise awareness of the need for individuals from across the state to step up and volunteer as Court Appointed Special Advocates,” said Associate Director Liza M. Kirschenbaum, Esq.

Over half of the 9,500 children from New Jersey placed in foster care due to abuse and neglect at home are waiting for a caring adult to speak up for their best interests in court and in the community.
